From Cambree King
Teaching in Hondurus
We found an investigator whose name is Cecilia. We found her
a couple weeks ago and she had been taught by missionaries for quite sometime.
She has read the book of Mormon twice through, which is more than many of the
people here. We kind of stopped visiting her for a week or two because she wasn’t
coming to church and she is always sick. Well... Sunday, Cecilia showed up
in church and my companion almost started crying while she was directing the
music. Cecilia is going to have a surgery in a few weeks but we got permission
to baptize her next Sunday. It is truly a miracle and I am incredibly grateful
that the Lord has allowed us to be the missionaries to help her. We visited her
yesterday and she is so excited to be baptized, she just doesn’t have words. It
has been an incredible experience.
We also have an investigator Susan who has a baptism date
for March. Last week she said she was coming to church but she ended up not
coming for many little reasons. This Sunday, (she had been preparing since
last Monday) she and her kids were here in church. When I asked her what she
thought, she said she felt terrible that she missed out last week and she will
not miss another Sunday. It is so incredible to see people experience the
blessings of the gospel in their lives and come to feel of the peace and love
that comes from the Holy Ghost.
